Creation of clothing line for bone dysplasias - Body measurements questionnaire
Portugal has currently one of the strongest textile industries in Europe and is known for its impressive craftsmanship and expertise in high-quality clothes and home textiles. “Made in Portugal” is a symbol of quality & reliability and it also means the product was made in an environment that is socially and ecologically responsible 1.
One of the factors for quality of life and wellbeing is to have appropriate clothing adjusted to body and age. In collaborative work, ANDO Portugal, the patient organization for skeletal dysplasias and Teresa Vasques, a textile professional, have developed a questionnaire to collect body measurements, also including some relevant questions to understand the needs of people with bone dysplasia, such as the piece of clothing that is more difficult to dress and undress.
The aim of this project is to create comfortable, beautiful and affordable clothing for people with bone dysplasia, which can be purchased with a few clicks, in an online store.
